Competition Terms & Conditions

1. This competition is only open to Malaysian citizens and PRs, who are qualified under the respective events.
2. Each player is allowed to participate in a maximum of TWO events provided that the player is fit to play in multiple matches in a short period.
3. Any events with insufficient entries may have its format altered, combined, or cancelled and/or its prize(s) reduced in the event of less than 16 entries.
4. The Organiser will NOT be responsible for any loss, damage, mishap, or accident suffered, in any circumstances, by third parties or participants, before, during, and after the tournament.
5. The Organiser reserves the exclusive right to amend and modify the competition rules and regulations, entry requirements, conditions of competition, draw and schedule at the last moment under unavoidable circumstances without prior notice.
6. If there are any discrepancies found in translation, the English version shall prevail.

1. Men’s Double Bakat Baru Registration Fee: RM120 per pair

3. Women’s Double Bakat Baru Registration Fee: RM100 per pair
4. Registration fees are strictly non-transferable and non-refundable.
5. Each player will receive a goodie bag which includes a free jersey and a free towel.
6. There shall be no replacement or substitution of players once registration is closed. The only exception is applicable for injury with an official doctor’s letter to be submitted to the Organiser latest before the Draw & Schedule Publication Date.
7. Each player must register themselves at the Registration Counter on competition day by showing the Organiser their Malaysia IC for verification purposes.

1. Knock-out format for all events.
2. 1 game of 30 points with no deuce; change ends at point 15; applicable from preliminary rounds to finals.
3. The umpires’ decision is FINAL. No dispute or protest will be entertained.
4. The Organiser reserves the right to amend and modify the event as required.
5. No seeding will be determined before and throughout the competition.

1. BOTH players must NOT have won CHAMPION or 1st RUNNER-UP in any Bakat Baru or higher-level tournaments. Either one of the players who has achieved the above is NOT eligible to participate.
2. Both players must not have any BWF / BAM IDs, nor represented any state or country in any tournament.
3. The Organiser will screen each player’s eligibility upon receiving the entries based on the best-effort basis. The screening will be done via Tournament Software using the player’s full name as per his IC.

1. All players shall check the participation list which will be published on Tournament Software on 22 July 2024.
2. Protest on a player’s eligibility, if any, can only be submitted by a participant of the competition and must be submitted before the Protest Deadline.
3. The Organiser shall not entertain further dispute on players qualification after the Protest Deadline.
4. The protest fee is refundable if the protest is valid. However, if the protest is invalid, the protest fee of RM500 will be charged as a non-refundable administrative fee.
5. All protest shall be submitted with:
   (a) the name and contact number of the protestor;
   (b) the name of the player which has allegedly violated the regulation, the regulation the player is allegedly violating and its proof; and
   (c) a protest fee of RM500.

Participation List

1. A full list of entries shall be published on Tournament Software on 22 July 2024. All players shall check to ensure their registration is registered correctly.
2. All amendments shall be done by the Protest & Amendment Deadline. No changes are allowed after this date.

Readiness to Play

1. Participants are required to be at the scheduled court 30 minutes before their scheduled match.
2. Participants shall refer to the match time and court number given in the draw and refer to the match progress to get ready in advance. Matches could be called 20 minutes before the scheduled time.
3. It shall be the responsibility of each player to be in position on court at the scheduled time.
4. A 5-minute grace period will be given for players to be on court before a walkover is declared and given to the opponent without any prejudice.

Use of Photographs and Videos

All participants shall agree to give the Organisers social media and motion pictures rights, including permission to film participants during all matches and activities throughout the competition, for any commercial, news or other purpose together with the right to transfer such right without compensation.

Lucky Draw Terms & Conditions

1. EVERYONE and ANYONE, including participants of the competition (“Competition Participants“), non-Competition Participants and spectators can participate in the lucky draw (“Lucky Draw Participant“), EXCEPT the Organiser and sponsor(s) of the competition.
2. Lucky Draw Participants must purchase two (2) bottles of drinks to be eligible for ONE (1) entry in the lucky draw. There is no limit to the number of entries allowed, i.e., a Lucky Draw Participant can purchase multiple drinks to receive additional lucky draw entries to increase their chances of winning.
3. Each Competition Participant automatically has ONE (1) entry in the lucky draw by virtue of his or her participation in the competition, i.e., no drinks purchase is required for this.
4. Where a Competition Participant takes part in two categories, he or she will still only have ONE (1) entry in the lucky draw by virtue of his or her participation in the competition.
5. Additional entries are allowed by Competition Participants with the purchase of 2 bottles of drinks from the lucky draw counter.
6. To be eligible to win the grand prize, the Lucky Draw Participant MUST:
   (a) follow @forumgroupmy on Instagram; and
   (b) post a story on Instagram about Forum Tebrau and tag @forumgroupmy in that story (collectively, “Steps”). If the Lucky Draw Participant that has been picked as the grand prize is found to not have followed the Steps prior to his or her name is being drawn as the winner, the Lucky Draw Participant will automatically be disqualified and the Organiser reserves the right to pick another winner for the grand prize.
7. For all other prizes except the grand prize, the Lucky Draw Participant shall be eligible to win an extra gift if the Lucky Draw Participant is found to have followed the Steps prior to his or her name is being drawn as the winner.
8. Names that have been drawn will be discarded from the lot to prevent repetition and to allow others to also have a shot at the lucky draw prizes.
9. In the event of no-show when a winning name is announced, the Organiser has the right to discard it and draw a new one immediately. No protests shall be entertained.
10. Prizes won cannot be exchanged and transferred.
11. Prizes for the lucky draw are determined by the Organiser.
12. The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received at the point of the draw.
13. By entering the lucky draw, the Lucky Draw Participants agree to allow Organisers to use their name, details and entry for promotional purposes without further compensation.
14. The Organiser will not be responsible for any damages, losses, or injuries arising out of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize.
15. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any Lucky Draw Participant who violates these terms and conditions or engages in fraudulent or unlawful conduct.
16. By participating in the lucky draw, the Lucky Draw Participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
17. The Organiser reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the lucky draw at any time for any reason without prior notice.
