RECAP : Forum Group x Dynamite Badminton Competition 2024

Forum Group recently collaborated with Dynamite BC again and hosted the Women’s Doubles Badminton Competition at Forum SBA (Setia Alam). This year, we spiced things up with a lucky draw session, offering prizes like a 4D3N Bali stay, badminton merchandise, electronics, healthcare products, and more. Plus, we introduced a 3v3 format for those knocked out early, ensuring everyone had a blast. Huge thanks to all participants and sponsors for making it a smashing success! We’re already hyped for the next one!

Time: 7.00am (Registration) | 8.30am – 5.30pm (Match)

Format of Play (Knock Out System)
  1. All games to be played 1 x 30 points with no deuce, and change sides when one party reaches 15 points; applicable from preliminary rounds to semi-finals.
  2. 21 points with deuce – best of 3 sets applicable to finals and 3rd & 4th places only.
  3. The umpire’s decisions are FINAL. No dispute/protest will be entertained during matches.
  4. No seeding will be determined before and throughout the competition.
  5. The draw will be carried out by the Organisers and announced on 26th April 2024.

7.00am: Registration
– Please present your ICs or passports to verify that you’re indeed a human and collect your goodie bags
– You’re free to use the courts until 8.00am

8.00am: Opening Ceremony & Photography Session
– Please wear the competition T-shirt in the goodie bag for group photography session

8.30am: Competition Begins!

11.30am: ERT & AED Workshop (Guest Speaker: Ms Trudy Khoo Saw Imm)

12.45pm: Lunch Break

1.50pm: Competition Resumes

4.30pm: Competition Prize-Giving Ceremony

Competition Terms & Conditions (Updated as of 22 March 2024)

  1. The competition is open to both Malaysians and foreigners who are qualified in their respective categories.
  2. Malaysians are to register with their IC number whereas foreign participants with their passport number.
  3. A player is allowed to participate in a maximum of TWO categories according to eligibility.
  4. Players must show their IDs (IC/passport) for verification purposes during registration on competition day.
  5. Registration deadline is 20th April 2024, 11:59pm.
  6. There shall be no replacement/substitution of players once the registration is closed. The only exception is applicable for injury with an official doctor’s letter to be submitted to the Organisers latest before the draw date.
  7. All protests must be submitted to the Organisers between 12.00am, 22nd April 2024 to 11.59pm, 24th April 2024 only; any protest/dispute on a player’s qualification outside this protest period WILL NOT be entertained. A protest fee of RM1,000 shall be collected for a protest to be investigated; without it any protest raised WILL NOT be entertained. The protest fee is refundable if the protest is valid; it will be charged as non-refundable administrative fee if the protest is invalid.
  8. All protests/appeals must be submitted in writing by the player(s) or team official(s) thirty (30) minutes after the match to the Honorary Referee. Such appeal/protest must be accompanied by a fee of RM1,000 which is refundable only if the protest/appeal is upheld, otherwise it will be forfeited. The decision of the Jury of Appeal is final.
  9. Competition draw will be announced on 26th April 2024.
  10. Categories with insufficient entries may have its format altered, combined, or cancelled and/or its prize(s) reduced in the event of less than 16 entries.
  11. Players must report to court 5 minutes before their scheduled time of play. Player(s) who fail to turn up at their scheduled court of play 10 minutes after their scheduled time of play will be defaulted.

Lucky Draw Terms & Conditions (Updated as of 22 March 2024)

  1. EVERYONE and ANYONE, i.e., participants of the competition (“Competition Participants“), non-participants, spectators and sponsor/vendor staff can participate in the lucky draw (“Lucky Draw Participant“), EXCEPT the Organisers.
  2. ONE (1) lucky draw entry will be given with purchase of any TWO (2) drinks from Forum drinks counter. Drinks purchased from other booth/stall/food truck are not eligible for lucky draw entries.
  3. Each Competition Participant automatically has ONE entry in the lucky draw by virtue of her participation in the competition, i.e., no drinks purchase is required for this.
  4. Where a Competition Participant takes part in two categories, she will still only have ONE entry in the lucky draw by virtue of her participation in the competition.
  5. Additional entries are allowed by Competition Participants with the purchase of drinks from Forum drinks counter.
  6. Lucky Draw Participants may purchase multiple drinks to receive additional lucky draw entries and increase their chances of winning. There is no limit to the number of entries allowed.
  7. Names that have been drawn will be discarded from the lot to prevent repetition and to allow others to also have a shot at the lucky draw prizes.
  8. In the event of no-show when a winning name is announced, the Organisers/emcee have/has the right to discard it and draw a new one immediately. No protests shall be entertained.
  9. Prizes won cannot be exchanged and transferred.
  10. Prizes for the lucky draw are determined based on the sponsors obtained by the Organisers.
  11. The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received at the point of the draw.
  12. By entering the lucky draw, Lucky Draw Participants agree to allow Organisers to use their name, details and entry for promotional purposes without further compensation.
  13. The Organisers will not be responsible for any damages, losses, or injuries arising out of participants in the lucky draw or acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize.
  14. The Organisers reserve the right to disqualify any Lucky Draw Participant who violates these terms and conditions or engages in fraudulent or unlawful conduct.
  15. By participating in the lucky draw, Lucky Draw Participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  16. The Organisers reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the lucky draw at any time for any reason without prior notice.

Disclaimer

  1. Participants: By submitting the entry form, I/we, the participant(s) hereby agree to abide by the rules and conditions of the competition. I/We certify that all the above particulars are correct. I/We am/are entering the competition at my/our own risk and shall not hold the Organisers or those connected to the Organisers responsible for any damages whatsoever resulting from injury, whether fatal or otherwise, of any participant or for damages to or loss of such person’s property.
  2. The Organisers: We reserve the exclusive right to amend and modify the competition rules and regulations, entry requirements, conditions of competition, draw and schedule at the last moment under unavoidable circumstances without prior notice.
  3. If there are any discrepancies found in translation, the English version shall prevail.

Participant Agreement for Use of Photography and Videos

  1. Participants shall agree to give the Organisers social media and motion pictures rights, including permission to film participants during matches and activities throughout the competition, for any commercial, news or other purpose together with the right to transfer such right without compensation.
